Wink 2009 Top Baits

I have been thinking very hard about what new baits to try this season.

I have now realised that after recent events on the pond, this years top hook bait will be 'paving slab' fished over a bed of broken branches.

The fish have become used to finding these baits in vast quantities in the pond since the recent freeze and won't even look at maggot, pellet or boillies any more!

If anyone else has a new bait for this year I would be very interested to hear it.

Cheers

Jeff

.................................................. ..................................................

At least that still leaves us 7 million roach to fish for!

Ah, but I forgot about the cormorants. They must have had 5 million, leaving just 2 million in the pond.

And then there's the heron and the kingfisher, so now were down 1 million.

So we have 1 million roach in a pond of just under 2 acres in size..................................SO WHY CAN'T I CATCH ANY?
